Tickets

Dumpster Pyre: the Masquerade offers several different tickets. When you sign up, you can indicate which ticket you would like. If you are open to several different options, you can indicate so during registration.

You can register for Dumpster Pyre: The masquerade using this form.

Ticket sales are open until the 22nd of April.

Player ticket

Player tickets are the normal tickets for Dumpster Pyre. You receive both a character and a vampire to play in the larp. You will need to provide your own costume. Player tickets cost €80,-.

Assistant ticket

To make sure the organisers have time on Saturday, we would like to delegate practical tasks (predominantly the preparation of food) to assistants. We ask assistants to assist in preparing food and cleaning up during the three breaks on Saturday (9:00-10:00, 12:00-12:45, 17:00-18:45). In return, we offer a significantly reduced ticket price. Naturally, we will make sure that you still have enough time to eat and rest in between sessions.

For all other intents and purposes, assistant tickets function exactly like player tickets. Assistant tickets cost €50,-.

Reserve ticket

Reserve tickets allow the organisers to compensate for last-minute cancellations. A reserve ticket guarantees you a spot at the larp. With a reserve ticket you receive a full-fledged but optional character and vampire. When another player cancels, you will be given their character and vampire instead. As thanks for your flexibility, reserve tickets are sold at a slightly reduced price.

For all other intents and purposes, reserve tickets function exactly like player tickets. Reserve tickets cost €60,-. Please only select a reserve ticket if you are happy to play most, if not all, of the characters of this larp.

Group registration

You can register as a group if your attendance to Dumpster Pyre is dependent on each other, and you will need to cancel your participation if another person cannot attend. Up to three people can register as a group.

To register as a group, everyone in the group should list all other members of the group in the sign-up form. In case tickets are divided by lottery, we will make sure the entire group is either included or excluded. Please note that a group registration slightly decreases your chances of participating.

Cancellation

We have unfortunately seen a very large amount of cancellations in previous runs. This made it very difficult to deliver a successful experience, and unfortunately made it necessary to have a very strict cancellation policy. Dumpster Pyre: the Masquerade uses the following cancellation policy:

  • Cancellations must be submitted as soon as possible.
  • Cancellations submitted before the regular sign-ups close will be fully refunded.
  • Cancellations submitted after the regular sign-ups close will not be refunded. If a paying replacement player is found, (part of) the participation fee may be refunded as a courtesy. Note that this is not guaranteed.
  • If Dumpster Pyre: the Masquerade is cancelled, the participation fee will be fully refunded. The exception is in case of force majeure (e.g. a fire or a pandemic), in which case we will refund whatever part of the fee was not lost due to the aforementioned incident.

Note that we prioritise personal health and will not fault any of our players for doing the same. However, we may issue a ban for all future events by the organisers if a player:

  • Doesn’t show up without cancellation.
  • Waits unnecessarily long before informing us of their cancellation.
  • Cancels close to the larp for predictable issues (e.g. lack of travel arrangements, insufficient rest, or agenda conflicts).
  • Is only able to participate in limited capacity due to their own actions (e.g. because of a hangover).
